I began a hairdressing apprenticeship in 1966, at the age of 15.It was a four year apprenticeship, which was to lead to a career in hairdressing which spanned 20 years. As a second year apprentice,I bought my first salon. This was achieved with the help of a second job, waitressing for breakfast and dinner every night for 1 months. I have been self  employed ever since. Full time.

After finishing my apprenticeship, I entered many competitions for the first 10 years of my career, always placing in the top three.

In 1980, I moved with my family to the Gold Coast and opened a new salon in Southport. After the first year, I also purchase the beauty salon next door. To ensure the efficient management of the new section, I completed studies in Beauty Therepy, at the Biba Academy. I was also employed by the Royal Pines Resort on the gold Coast to establish and organise a salon within the Hotel.

Whilst attending a seminar for the Beauty industry, I was introduced to Micropigmentation. As a progressing clinic I decided to introduce the treatments to my clients, however soon realized that this particular field was to be my speciality. Acknowledging a turning point in my career, I sold my Hair and Beauty Clinic to focus solely on Permanent Make-up, which I regonized as a technique which requires total commitment to perfect work.

At this time, Micropigmentation was a relatively new technique. The available pigments, anaesthetics and machines were also new to the market place and as yet not perfected. After much research, I found the perfect formula for me to use safely on my clients. These pigments are natural, stable in the skin and ultra violet stable, with 32 colours in my range, will please every one.

At this point, I was researching 2 questions frequently asked by my clients- what can be done about age spots, pigmentation on the skin and the wrinkles are the mouth? Procedures which were already available often failed to produce the desired results. This encouraged me to develop the Dermerase technology. The machine was built to my design, and I developed the technical skills. This took approximately 5 years to perfect. A patent has been granted in Australia and is pending in the US.

Cosmetic doctors using the Dermerase technology are Dr. P. Widdowson and Dr. J . Bradford.

To address post treatment care, I  designed a special dressing to be applied. This occlusive dressing in the form of a gel stops scabbing and therefore aids in protection from melanin loss and scarring. The dressing also had a brillant result in the recovery of Micropigmentation, enclosing the pigment in the skin.

The third stage was now to aim for a complete skin care regime, to maintain the results achieved by the Dermerase treatment, and improve the appearance of the skin overall. Overexposure to the sun, hormonal side effects from the contraceptive pill and pregnancy can cause the skin to become thick and pigmented.

For this reason, I produced the Revival Skin Care range, which addresses the issues of refining and depigmenting. I researched ingredients which offer ligtening and exfoliating, combined with stimulation to renew the skin and to remove the dead cell layer. The result was an easy 3 step daily program  for beautiful clear skin.

I have seen a large number of treatments come and go over the 42 years of my career. Most of them disapointing, Do research properly, the endevor to have clear beautiful skin and permanent make-up that looks just like make-up and not like a tattoo.

This has been my passion, to deliver results that please in both area's. Permanent make-up and skin revival.
